Design
Her design work is rooted in fine art. She is a painter who paints on different surfaces - it might be canvas, textiles, wooden objects or a watch face. Sometimes the paintings are displayed on a wall, or they might embellish one-off or mass produced utilitarian objects.

Flower Power Textiles
A room is a garden, the furniture, walls and floor covered in flowers.
But the romanticism of this theme is offset by the colour scheme which is predominantly light and dark grays. The starkness of this gray scheme is uplifted by a random sprinkling of coluored flowers. These velvet flowers sit in relief on the fabric creating an effect of layering. This theme is echoed in the Flower Power rugs.

Wild Tapestry Coats & Bags
Several years ago, Nuala- a painter by training- began to make abstract paintings in textile. She called them ‘Wild Tapestries’. It is a return to her roots as a painter, with paint replaced by textile.
‘Ancient yet contemporary
Punk yet precious
Wild yet ordered’
The ‘Wild Tapestries’ have also evolved into unique pieces of clothing and accessories. They were created in collaboration with fashion designer Weiren Theo who adapted his classic coat design to Nuala’s slashed textiles. Nuala was intrigued by the idea of the coat merging with the ‘Wild Tapestry’ behind it. From this beginning the coats took on a life and personality of their own. Wild Tapestry Coats are wearable art pieces which can also be hung on a wall. To wear such a coat is to feel a warm embrace. The coats look and feel good on people of any sex and any age. The ‘Wild Tapestry’ shoulder bags refer to a painter’s palette in form and colour. They are well-made bags and also soft sculptures.
Our aim is to make beautiful, meaningful items of clothing which are unique pieces, our audience is whoever can appreciate them, we are imagining that they can appeal to a person from the world of entertainment as they stand out from the crowd but are at the same time classy and elegant. We believe that the originality and quality of these pieces, made with love and care is a true luxury in this day and age.
